Creative Mode Tab
The dedicated Petting creative tab (petting:petting) contains all nine golden treats followed by all sixteen dyed collars. Its tab icon is the Golden Paw.
Golden Paw
- Item ID:
petting:golden_paw - Enchantment Glint: Permanent
- Function: Serves exclusively as the mascot and creative tab icon for the mod. It has no crafting recipe and cannot be used in gameplay.
Golden Treats
Nine specialized treats of Rare quality with permanent enchantment glint. Each treat targets a specific category of mobs through data-driven tags, and can also be fed to injured pets to restore 50% health.

Collars
Sixteen wearable collar variants (stack size 1) matching the 16 Minecraft dyes. Red is registered as petting:collar, while other colors use petting:<color>_collar. Collars store individualized AI tactics and optional respawn bindings.

Golden Dragon Egg

- Light Level: Emits light level 6.
- Obtaining: Created by right-clicking a placed Dragon Egg with a Golden Star.
- Behavior: Falls like sand/dragon eggs, teleports when struck while preserving its owner data, and can be hatched via the End Exit Portal ritual.
